The Indersai Mangala is a new, high-yielding variety of areca nut palm. This variety, affectionately nicknamed "Kullan Mangala" (Dwarf Mangala), has features that are very appealing to farmers. Its short stature is its biggest advantage. You no longer need to search for climbers for harvesting and maintenance because you can pick the areca nuts from the ground. Its excellent yield and early fruiting make this small variety even more attractive. The unique feature of the Kullan Mangala is that it starts to bear fruit in its third year. With good care, you can get bunches weighing up to 15-20 kilograms. Its dried nuts weigh more than those from the regular Mangala variety. This palm grows to a maximum height of fifteen feet. You can plant the seedlings eight feet apart. Cow dung is the primary fertilizer used. While it can be cultivated in both fields and uplands, water availability is essential. The average lifespan of a Kullan areca nut palm is 20 years
