Jaboticaba red hybrid is a cross between the Plinia cauliflora X Plinia aureana. Matured fruit become reddish brown colour. In Kerala, Red hybrid gives multiple crops in a year and have seen it started producing fruits from 2.5 years. The fruits are sweet and has 1-2 seeds. Red hybrid is very much container friendly. 14-18 inch pot will be sufficient. Its well suited to grow in pots.
