Purple Forest Guava" (also known as Psidium Eugeniaefolia or "Araca-Una") is a bushy shrub tree from the Atlantic rainforest of Brazil, related to the guava family. The inner flesh is a vibrant, translucent purple with a slightly acidic and sweet flavor. This fleshy pulp surrounds several small, hard seeds, and the fruit is typically eaten fresh.
